Homespec
is a proud Long Island company not a Franchise. Each Inspector
will Average over 300 to 400 Inspections each year. The years
of experience combined with the proper training is the key to our
success. The bulk of our inspections are derived from past
clients, friends, family and co-workers. Our next greatest source of
inspections come from the referral's by Professional real estate
attorneys.
All inspectors have Engineering type
Bachelor degrees combined with extensive multiple construction
backgrounds.
All Inspectors are "ASHI" Certified. The "American
Society of Home Inspectors" is the largest
and the most prestigious Society of Home inspectors in the
country having the highest standards.
Our inspectors are fully trained and tested by “The Home Inspection
Institute of America” a Nationally renowned institute.
The certified inspector undergoes continuous technical training and is
required by Homespec to be re-certified each year.
All Inspectors are also CRI. (Certified Real estate Inspector)
members of "NAHI" (The National association of home inspectors.)
The CRI. Rating is the Highest rating possible requiring multiple testing
and review of the
inspection reports each year. NAHI. also requires continuing
educational courses 16 hours to be taken each year to maintain the
CRI high rating designee.
Your inspector will also possess the New York State Pesticide Applicators
Certificate “7C” for the bank required Termite inspection. (Including
HUD, FHA, VA, and CONVENTIONAL Bank loans.)
The 7c certification also requires
continual training and re-certification every 4 years
Real Estate Transactions Are Time Sensitive:
Choosing a home
inspector within the limited time constraints and deadlines is difficult.
HOMESPEC makes scheduling your home inspection easy. We are available to
schedule your inspection each day from 9AM. To 9PM. The home inspection is
performed 7 days a week with
early evening and weekends available at no extra cost. A limited amount of
same day inspections
are also available.
Should I Be There And Why?
Yes! The inspector goes through the home and will
explain everything in detail, answering your questions, and making sure
you understand as much as possible about the home. The inspector will
readily compare your house and its systems with other houses of similar
age and construction. You will be impressed with the technical competence
and insight of your inspector when you receive the verbal portion of the
inspection. The process will take approximately 2 - 2 ½ hours.
HOMESPEC'S’ Reporting Accuracy:
We will not minimize or dramatize any findings. Each problem will
have a recommendation
with an appropriate course of action. We are not contractors and do
not benefit financially from
the sale or repair of any home. You will receive an honest and fair
evaluation.
